（2）、磨合應視柴油機用途和拖載方式的不同，來考慮具體磨合方案。原則上隨著磨合時間的增加分階段逐步提高柴油機的轉速和負載，在整個磨合期內負荷以12h標定功率的50~80%為宜，轉速應不大于標定轉速的80%為好。但在磨合的開始階段空運轉或過小負載情況下的運轉時間不宜太長。

(2) The specific running-in plan should be considered based on the different uses and towing methods of the diesel engine. In principle, as the running in time increases, the speed and load of the diesel engine should be gradually increased in stages. During the entire running in period, the load should be 50-80% of the rated power for 12 hours, and the speed should not exceed 80% of the rated speed. 注：每當更換缸套、活塞、活塞環、連桿軸瓦和曲拐后亦應按上述磨合工況適當進行短期磨合。

柴油機的使用：

（1）、柴油發電機組投入正常使用后，應經常注視所有儀表的指標值和觀察整機運行的動態：要經常檢查冷卻系統和各部分潤滑油的液面，如發現有不符規定要求或出現損漏時，應即給予補充或檢查原因予以排除。

（2）、在運轉過程中，特別是當突減負荷時，應注意防止因調速器失靈使柴油機運轉突然升高超過規定值，當出現此類情況應先迅速采取緊急停車措施，然后再查清原因。

用戶選用柴油機時不僅應考慮與之配套的工作機械所需功率的大小，還須考慮工作機械的負荷率，比如是間歇使用，還是連續使用。同時要考慮工作機械的運行經濟性，即負載的工作合理性和柴油機的特性的必須合理匹配。

因此，柴油機功率的正確標定和柴油機與工作機械特性的合理匹配乃是保證柴油機可靠、長壽命以及經濟運行的前提，否則將可能使柴油機超負荷運行和產生不必要的故障；或負載功率過小，柴油機功率不能得到充分的運用，這樣既不經濟并且易產生機油等弊病。
