The voltage of lightning discharge is as high as several hundred kilovolts or even hundreds of millions of volts, and the current generated varies from tens of kiloamperes to hundreds of kiloamperes. Lightning strike will cause damage to the electrical control, communication and mechanical components of wind turbine, such as blades.

為預(yù)防雷擊需做如下措施，在葉尖預(yù)埋導(dǎo)體網(wǎng)，通過機艙上高處位置放置避雷針，機艙與塔架具備良好的導(dǎo)電特性，在基礎(chǔ)施工過程當中，沿地基安裝通到一米地下的位置，預(yù)埋以降低接地電阻阻值，或者采用多根導(dǎo)電體垂直打入深層底下，接地電阻阻值需小于10歐姆。采用屏蔽層或者光電轉(zhuǎn)換系統(tǒng)，對通信遠傳系統(tǒng)進行保護，采用隔離原理的電源和變壓器。

不僅雷擊會損壞風(fēng)電機組，電網(wǎng)不穩(wěn)定也會導(dǎo)致機組故障。風(fēng)力發(fā)電機組大都處于電網(wǎng)末端，接入到35千伏和110千伏的電路，如果電網(wǎng)的三線電壓不平衡，電壓過高或過低，都會影響風(fēng)力發(fā)電機組的運行，當電網(wǎng)三相不平誤差超過5%，電壓誤差達到上下10%時，機組會停止運行。

風(fēng)電發(fā)電機組的運行難免會出現(xiàn)故障，需要運維工程師去現(xiàn)場進行處理。在現(xiàn)場處理故障的同時，也會順便進行一些機組的日常故障排查維護。日常故障排除需要運維工程師對風(fēng)力發(fā)電機組進行仔細的觀察，影響風(fēng)機正常運行工作的不合理地方都要進行檢修維護。同時也要聽風(fēng)力發(fā)電機組機械運行和電氣的聲音，檢查機組運行的聲音是否正常有無異響。
